How to Remove and Replace Dell Inspiron 15R 5521 Laptop Screen?
- Disconnect the AC Adapter.
- Slide the latches to unlock the battery and remove the battery.
- Remove one M2.5 x 5mm optical drive screw and slide the optical drive out of the laptop.
- Loosen the screws and remove the access door of the laptop.
- Remove the 12 M2.5 x 5mm bottom base-palmrest screws
- Using a plastic scribe or flat head screw, press in the keyboard latches at the top of the keyboard, lift the keyboard over, unplug keyboard cable and remove the keyboard.
- Unplug the palmrest cables, remove 5- M2.5 x 5mm palmrest screws and 2- M2 x 3mm palmrest screws.
- Carefully lift the palmrest from right side then bottom side and left to remove it.
- Unplug and remove the LCD cable
- Unplug and remove wireless antennas.
- Remove 1- M2.5 x 5mm right hinge screw
- Remove 2- M2.5 x 5mm left hinge screws
- Remove the complete LCD display.
- Use a screwdriver to remove hinge covers off the display.
- Remove LCD bezel from the display
- Remove the 4- M2 x 3mm LCD screws
- Remove LCD cable
- Remove the LCD screen
- Now Install a new screen using the same procedure in reverse order and plug the AC adapter to check the display.If everything is ok then complete the fitting and your laptop is ready for use
