1. General Warranty Policy
Unless a different warranty condition is specifically stated on the individual product page, spare parts sold on Pctech.co.in carry a limited replacement warranty against qualifying manufacturing defects or Dead on Arrival (DOA) issues.
A product may qualify for warranty when:
- The part is defective out of the box.
- The part does not function due to a manufacturing defect after delivery.
- The issue is reported within the applicable claim period.
- The product passes our warranty inspection.
Product-Specific Warranty Conditions
Some products may have specific warranty conditions because of their nature and technical characteristics.
Where a product page specifies a particular warranty period, coverage, exclusion, or claim condition, the warranty terms stated on that individual product page will apply to that product.
For example, laptop screens have a specific and more limited warranty as described in Section 2 below.
2. Laptop Screen Warranty Policy
Laptop screens have a specific and limited warranty because display panels can have different pixel characteristics and may be affected by installation, handling, connection, or system-related issues.
2.1 Warranty Period
The warranty period for each laptop screen is as specified on the individual product page at the time of purchase.
2.2 Warranty Coverage
Laptop screen warranty covers only qualifying dead pixel defects as per ISO 9241-307.
ISO 9241-307 is the applicable international standard for pixel defects in flat-panel displays and replaced the older ISO 13406-2 standard.
A dead pixel condition will qualify for warranty only when it exceeds the permissible limits applicable under ISO 9241-307.
No warranty is provided for any other screen issue, defect, condition, or performance-related concern.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Display lines
- Flickering or intermittent display
- No display or display failure
- Backlight failure
- Backlight bleeding or light leakage
- Brightness or illumination issues
- Colour variation or colour distortion
- Spots, marks, shadows, or other display abnormalities
- Image retention or related display characteristics
- Touch-related issues, where applicable
- Physical damage
- Cracks or scratches
- Broken or damaged connectors
- Damage caused during installation
- Damage caused by incorrect handling
- Any other issue that is not a qualifying dead pixel defect under ISO 9241-307
2.4 Screen Warranty Assessment
All reported dead pixel claims may be reviewed by our technical team.
Where necessary, the screen may need to be returned to Pctech.co.in for physical inspection and verification.
The claim will be considered eligible only if the reported dead pixel condition qualifies under the applicable ISO 9241-307 criteria.
3. Mandatory Unboxing Video Requirement
For warranty protection against DOA, transit-related disputes, or visible defects, customers are required to record a clear and continuous unboxing video till the installation.
The video should clearly show:
- The sealed package before opening
- The courier shipping label
- The package being opened
- The spare part inside the package
- The product condition immediately after opening
- Any visible defect or issue
The unboxing video may be required when evaluating a warranty claim.
This requirement helps protect both the customer and Pctech.co.in against disputes involving transit damage, missing components, or handling after delivery.
4. Installation Responsibility
Spare parts are intended for professional installation.
Customers should ensure that installation is performed by a qualified technician familiar with the particular laptop or computer model.
- Damaged during installation
- Incorrectly installed
