Post Delivery Terms and Conditions

Post-Delivery Conditions & Installation Guidelines

Effective Date: 11 August 2025

At pctech.co.in, we take care to pack and dispatch products securely. However, laptop screens, batteries, keyboards, chargers, and other electronic components are delicate products and may be affected by handling during transportation or by incorrect installation.

To protect both the customer and the product, all customers are required to follow the post-delivery inspection and installation guidelines given below.

These conditions apply to products purchased from pctech.co.in, including laptop screens, LCD/LED panels, batteries, chargers, keyboards, touchpads, motherboards, palmrests, and other laptop replacement parts.

1. Unboxing Video Is Mandatory

Customers must record a continuous, uncut and uninterrupted video while opening the package.

The video should:

  • Start before opening the outer shipping package.

  • Clearly show the shipping label, AWB/tracking number and package condition.

  • Show all visible sides of the package before opening it.

  • Clearly show any dents, cuts, holes, crushed areas, broken seals or other signs of damage.

  • Continue without any cuts, pauses, editing or interruptions while the package is being opened.

  • Show the internal packaging and protective material.

  • Show the product being removed from the package.

  • Clearly show the complete product received, including model number, part number, serial number, barcode and other identifying labels where applicable.

  • Continue until the product has been completely inspected for visible physical damage.

Why is an uncut video required?

Electronic components can be damaged during transportation or while being unpacked. A continuous unboxing video provides an objective record of the condition of the package and product at the time of delivery.

An edited video, photographs taken after opening, or a video that starts after the package has already been opened may not be sufficient to establish the condition of the shipment at the time of delivery.

Please do not throw away the packaging material until the product has been fully inspected and confirmed to be satisfactory.

2. Inspect the Product Before Installation

Do not install the product immediately after opening the package.

Before connecting, powering on, installing or fitting the product, carefully inspect it for:

  • Cracks

  • Broken glass

  • Scratches

  • Dents

  • Bent frame

  • Broken mounting points

  • Damaged connectors

  • Torn or damaged cables

  • Loose components

  • Physical deformation

  • Missing components

  • Any other visible physical damage

For laptop screens, carefully check the panel, bezel area, mounting tabs, connector and cable before installation.

For batteries, inspect the battery casing, connector, cable and terminals for any physical damage or deformation.

For chargers and adapters, inspect the adapter body, cable, connector and pins before connecting it to the laptop.

3. Report Transit Damage Within 24 Hours

Any physical damage, missing item, wrong product, packaging damage or other delivery-related issue must be reported within 24 hours of the recorded delivery date and time.

The 24-hour period starts from the date and time shown in the applicable courier or delivery record.

The customer must contact pctech.co.in within this period and provide:

  1. The order number.

  2. A clear description of the issue.

  3. The complete, uncut unboxing video.

  4. Clear photographs of the product and packaging, where requested.

  5. Photographs of the shipping label.

  6. Photographs of the damaged area, if applicable.

  7. Any other information reasonably required for verification.

Important

Do not install or attempt to operate a product that appears physically damaged.

If a product has visible physical damage when opened, please contact us before installation.

Damage reported after the 24-hour reporting period may not be accepted as transit damage, particularly where an uncut unboxing video is not available.

4. Do Not Install a Damaged Product

If you notice any physical damage during inspection:

STOP. DO NOT INSTALL THE PRODUCT.

Do not:

  • Connect the product to the laptop.

  • Apply power.

  • Remove protective films unnecessarily.

  • Bend, press or manipulate the product.

  • Attempt to repair the product.

  • Modify connectors or cables.

  • Remove components.

  • Attempt installation to check whether the product works.

Contact pctech.co.in first and provide the required photographs and uncut unboxing video.

Installing a physically damaged product may make it difficult to determine whether the damage occurred during transportation or during installation.

5. Test Before Permanent Installation

Where technically possible, the product should be tested before permanent installation or final assembly.

For example, in the case of a laptop display:

  • Connect the display using the correct compatible connector.

  • Ensure the connector is correctly aligned before connecting.

  • Power on the laptop only after confirming that the connection is secure.

  • Check the display for image quality.

  • Check for dead pixels, lines, flickering, abnormal brightness, discoloration or other display issues.

  • Confirm that the display functions correctly before permanently fitting it into the laptop.

The same principle applies to other replacement components.

A product should not be permanently installed until compatibility and basic functionality have been confirmed.

6. Installation Must Be Performed Carefully

Laptop replacement parts are technical components and should preferably be installed by a qualified laptop technician or experienced professional.

Incorrect installation can cause damage to both the replacement part and the laptop.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The correct replacement part has been ordered.

  • The part number and specifications are compatible with the laptop.

  • The correct tools are used.

  • Power is disconnected before installation where applicable.

  • The laptop battery is disconnected where technically required.

  • Connectors are inserted in the correct orientation.

  • No excessive force is applied.

  • Cables are routed correctly.

  • Screws are of the correct type and length.

  • No component is short-circuited during installation.

Do not force a connector, cable, screw, mounting tab or component into position.

7. Compatibility Must Be Confirmed Before Installation

Customers should verify compatibility before installing the product.

Laptop replacement parts can vary between different configurations of the same laptop model.

For screens, compatibility may depend on factors such as:

  • Exact laptop model.

  • Display size.

  • Resolution.

  • Refresh rate.

  • Connector type.

  • Connector position.

  • Number of pins.

  • eDP interface specification.

  • Cable compatibility.

  • Mounting arrangement.

  • Panel dimensions.

  • Touch or non-touch configuration.

  • Manufacturer and panel model.

For batteries, compatibility may depend on:

  • Battery model number.

  • Part number.

  • Voltage.

  • Capacity.

  • Connector.

  • Physical dimensions.

  • Laptop model and configuration.

Laptop model name alone may not always be sufficient to establish compatibility.

If you are unsure about compatibility, please contact pctech.co.in before installation.

8. Do Not Remove Labels or Identification Markings Before Verification

Where applicable, customers should retain all original:

  • Product labels

  • Model numbers

  • Part numbers

  • Serial numbers

  • Barcodes

  • Manufacturer markings

  • Warranty labels

  • Identification stickers

These details may be required for product verification, compatibility verification, warranty processing or after-sales support.

Do not intentionally remove, alter, scratch, obscure or damage identification markings.

9. Protective Films and Packaging

Some products may contain protective films, tapes, stickers or protective materials.

Customers should avoid removing protective materials unnecessarily until the product has been inspected and tested.

For laptop screens, protective films may be present on the front or rear surface.

Do not peel or remove protective films before confirming that the correct product has been received and that there is no physical damage.

Keep the original packaging until installation and initial testing have been successfully completed.

10. Physical Damage Is Different From Functional Issues

Customers should distinguish between:

Physical / Transit Damage

Examples include:

  • Cracked screen

  • Broken glass

  • Bent frame

  • Broken mounting tabs

  • Crushed packaging

  • Damaged connector

  • Physically damaged battery casing

  • Damaged charger body

  • Visible impact damage

Such issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery along with the required uncut unboxing video.

Functional Issue

A product may appear physically perfect but fail to operate correctly after proper testing or installation.

If you experience a functional issue, please contact pctech.co.in with the order details and relevant photographs or videos.

Our technical team may request additional information to determine whether the issue is related to the product, compatibility, installation or the laptop itself.

11. Installation Damage Is Not Considered Transit Damage

Damage caused during installation, testing, handling, modification or attempted repair is not considered transit damage.

Examples may include:

  • Cracked LCD panel caused during installation.

  • Broken display connector.

  • Damaged eDP connector.

  • Torn display cable.

  • Broken mounting tabs.

  • Scratches caused during installation.

  • Puncture or pressure damage to the panel.

  • Battery casing damaged during installation.

  • Battery connector damaged by incorrect connection.

  • Short circuit caused by incorrect installation.

  • Damage caused by incorrect voltage or incompatible components.

  • Damage caused by excessive force.

  • Damage caused by incorrect tools.

  • Damage caused by opening or modifying the product.

Customers are strongly advised to use a qualified technician for installation.

12. Do Not Attempt Self-Repair

If a product does not function as expected, do not open, dismantle, solder, modify or attempt to repair the product yourself.

Any unauthorized modification, repair attempt or physical alteration may affect warranty eligibility.

Please contact pctech.co.in first so that our technical team can guide you through the appropriate troubleshooting process.

13. Keep All Packaging Until Installation Is Complete

Customers should retain the following until the product has been successfully inspected, tested and installed:

  • Outer shipping box.

  • Courier packaging.

  • Internal packaging.

  • Foam protection.

  • Bubble wrap.

  • Protective films.

  • Product box.

  • Labels and stickers.

  • Any included accessories.

  • Documentation.

This may be required if the product needs to be returned for an approved replacement, warranty inspection or other authorized after-sales process.

14. Reporting Procedure

If you identify a problem after delivery, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Stop Installation

Do not install or operate a product that appears physically damaged.

Step 2: Preserve the Packaging

Keep the complete original packaging and all protective materials.

Step 3: Prepare the Evidence

Keep ready:

  • Order number.

  • Uncut unboxing video.

  • Photographs of the product.

  • Photograph of the shipping label.

  • Photograph of the product label or part number.

  • Video showing the issue, where applicable.

Step 4: Contact pctech.co.in

Contact our support team within the applicable reporting period.

Step 5: Wait for Instructions

Do not ship the product back unless you receive return instructions or authorization from pctech.co.in.

15. Installation and Compatibility Assistance

If you are unsure whether a particular product is compatible with your laptop, please contact us before installation.

Our technical support team can help you verify relevant details such as:

  • Laptop model.

  • Part number.

  • Screen specifications.

  • Battery model.

  • Connector type.

  • Voltage.

  • Resolution.

16. Important 24-Hour Rule

For clarity, customers should remember the following:

Inspect the package immediately after delivery.

Record a continuous, uncut unboxing video.

Check the product for physical damage before installation.

Report transit damage, wrong product or missing items within 24 hours of the recorded delivery date and time.

Do not install a product that appears physically damaged.

Do not attempt self-repair or modification.

Keep the original packaging until installation and initial testing are complete.

17. Customer Responsibility

By accepting delivery of an order from pctech.co.in, the customer is expected to follow these post-delivery inspection and installation guidelines.

These requirements are intended to protect customers as well as pctech.co.in from disputes involving transit damage, installation damage, compatibility issues and incorrect handling of sensitive electronic components.

Failure to follow these guidelines may make it difficult to establish when or how damage occurred and may affect eligibility for replacement, return or warranty support.
