Laptop Screen Warranty Policy
At PCTECH Computers, laptop screens are covered by warranty only for dead pixel defects that qualify as a warranty defect under ISO 9241-307.
ISO 9241-307 is the applicable international standard for pixel defects in flat-panel displays and has replaced the older ISO 13406-2 standard.
1 Warranty Period
The warranty period for each laptop screen is as specified on the individual product page at the time of purchase.
2 Warranty Coverage
The warranty covers only dead pixel defects that exceed the permissible limits defined under ISO 9241-307.
A dead pixel defect will therefore be considered for warranty only when it meets the applicable criteria under ISO 9241-307.
3 No Warranty for Other Issues
No warranty is provided for any other issue, defect, condition, or performance-related concern affecting the laptop screen.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Display lines or lines appearing on the screen
- Flickering or intermittent display
- Backlight-related issues
- Brightness or illumination issues
- Colour variation, colour distortion, or colour-related issues
- Backlight bleeding or light leakage
- Spots, marks, shadows, or other display abnormalities
- Screen failure or no-display issues
- Touch-related issues, where applicable
- Physical damage, cracks, scratches, or breakage
- Damage caused during installation, handling, transportation, or use
- Any other defect or issue not specifically covered under the dead pixel warranty stated above
4 Warranty Process
To initiate a warranty claim for a suspected dead pixel defect, please follow the process below:
Capture Clear Photos
Take clear photos of the screen defect.
Share With Us
Share the photos and your order details with our support team.
Inspection
Our team will inspect and verify the issue based on ISO 9241-307.
Approval
Once approved, we will arrange a replacement according to our warranty policy.
Replacement
The replacement screen will be dispatched to you at the earliest.

Proper installation by a qualified technician is highly recommended. PCTECH Computers is not responsible for any issue or damage caused by improper installation, handling, or fitting of the laptop screen.
